The PhenoRob Interdisciplinary Lecture Series (PILS) has an explicit focus on teaching. It is a series of lectures of up to 30 minutes explaining key concepts to people from other fields. From fall 2024, PILS will be conducted and expanded jointly with the Transdisciplinary Research Area Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Futures, University of Bonn (TRA6) and changed to the "Public Interdisciplinary Lecture Series".
